About Mad Hamster Studios
Mad Hamster Studios was established in 2005 and is the trade name of artist Marcus Truckel.
I am primarily a self taught artist working in a variety of styles and formats from tradition media to digital art. I first began selling my artwork from around 13 years of age and since that time I have gone on to win competitions and awards for my work (recent art and design samples can be found in the gallery section of this site).
I have experience producing work in the following areas:
- Tattoo design.
- Portraits and caricatures (both Pet Potraits and People).
- Corporate/business logo and stationery design.
- Website design.
- Motion graphics, Animation and video effects.
- Storyboarding, cartoons, and comic art.
Throughout my work I regularly make use of creative software such as the following:
- Photoshop.
- Painter.
- ZBrush.
- After Effects.
- Lightwave.
- And many other 2d & 3d Graphics and video editing/effects tools.
